Every month, the same routine: open the sales spreadsheet, download the bank statement, copy numbers from one place to another, and hope you do not break a formula. By the time the report is ready, half the month has gone — and nobody quite remembers where each number came from.
There is a shorter way. It is not to build a dashboard from scratch: it is to start from the files you already have and let the proof travel with them. Below is the method Redijo uses to close the month with every number pointing back to its source.
Gather only what you already export
You do not need a new system. You need the files your business already produces: the sales spreadsheet, the bank statement in OFX, and, if you have one, the export from your accounting system. No manual re-keying.
- Export the month’s sales as a spreadsheet or CSV.
- Download the account statement in OFX straight from internet banking.
- If you use an accounting package, export the billing report — any format works.
Let the agent read before you write
Instead of typing numbers, you upload the files and let the agent map what is inside. It recognises sheets, columns and dates, and shows you what will become a table. The part that changes everything: every number it uses stays tied to its origin — sales_may.xlsx · orders sheet · rows 2–481 — and you verify it in one click.
When a figure is missing, the agent does not guess. It tells you exactly what was absent, and the report continues with what exists. That is the difference between a number you can sign off and a number you simply hope is right.
Turn the report into a recipe
This is where the 30 minutes come from. Once the first report is ready, you save the steps as a recipe. Next month you only upload the new files: the recipe rebuilds everything in the same shape — same tables, same prose, refreshed numbers. The manual work happens once; after that it repeats itself.
Freeze the version and share it
Before you send it to your partner or your accountant, freeze the version. The report becomes an immutable document with a date and a number — Frozen version · v3 · 14 Jun 2026 — and whoever receives it sees exactly what you saw, with the sources alongside. No more “which spreadsheet was that again?”.
That is the whole method. Files in, cited report out, and next month the work is almost done before you start. Your files and the synthesis are hosted with international-transfer safeguards — not scattered across local machines.
